It's back to school time! I'm not going to lie, when I was young I dreaded this day. It meant waking up earlier, not playing in the sun, and having homework. But as I grew older, I realized the value of education - partly because of some incredible teachers who didn't give up on me.
My parents were also BIG on education. I was told I could be anything as long as I kept learning. Which I still do today. Although university is done (shout out to Ryerson University) I never stopped learning.
Anytime an educational seminar or online session came up in a topic I liked, I raised my hand to be a part of it. This is what lead me to where I am today.
I graduated as a graphic designer but knew social media was changing the way we see the world, so I learned more about it - before it was offered up as a topic in schools. Today one of my top-selling services is Digitial Strategy which includes social media - back then I didn't even know I was going to start my own business. Incredible isn't it? So never shut the doors on education - because you don't know where it will lead you!
