I recently went to an event and someone I had met a few times, looked directly at me and then turned the other way.
I've become accustomed to this being a woman - it's just something we do. Sad - but true.
However, it's not something I'm comfortable with.
In this situation instead of doing, what was being done to me, I just simply walked up to this other person and started a conversation - later in the night, I realized they weren't being snobby just shy and didn't think I would recognize them.
This got me thinking - it may be the case most of the time. So instead of making judgements - simply say hi and see where it takes you - who knows they may just sign up to be your next client. Funny enough, that's exactly what happened to me.
