3 Questions To Ask Prior to Redesigning Your Website

If you're having a hard time deciding whether or not to redesign your website, then you're in the right place. It's not an easy decision but can be one that elevates your brand experience. Prior to deciding if it's time for a revamp ask yourself the following.

Does this website represent my brand?

Often I'll have clients come to me who are more proud of their Instagram feed than their website. This is very concerning as your website is one of your most important sales tools. You have to be proud to show it off and feel confident about how it represents you and your brand. Your website is part of your brand experience - if it's off-brand then it's time to create a new look.

Can this website sell my service or product without me?

This is a BIG one. As I said, your website is your most important sales tool. It should really help to sell your product or service without you. I often book clients based on what they've seen on my website to the point where I even include starting prices for each of my packages. Being this transparent allows my website to really showcase who I am as a service provider and what I'm capable of building.

Does the website lack function? Or am I just bored?

As with branding - you don't want to consistently be updating your website to the point where people aren't sure if it's the same one every time they visit. Repetition may seem boring to you but it's what builds a memorable, trustworthy brand. So if your website is doing everything stated above - but you're just bored, then it's not right to update it. Now keep in mind it must also function - your website should make your business life easier not harder, so keep this in mind when debating a refresh.
